Friday Fave Five

Susanne at Living to Tell the Story hosts Friday Fave Five in which we share our five favorite things from the past week. Thank you Susanne for hosting this inspirational sharing game!
  1. God's financial provision. Winter months for faith based missionaries can be very bleak. January, and February were especially hard but God is always faithful. We were especially blessed this week with a unexpected windfall from my mom. She told me that God had been nudging her to help her daughters. Thanks mom for your attentive heart and listening ear to the Holy Spirit's leading. We are indeed blessed by your gift.
  1. Some improvement in Mr. Wonderful's energy level. We have switched to a Gluten-Free diet which includes more whole foods and away from processed foods. We are starting to see some improvements in my hubby's stamina. We realize this will probably be a gradual improvement so we rejoice in small steps.
  1. The gradual return of Spring. It is so nice to start seeing some greening of the grass, buds on the trees, baby animals in the fields, spring flowers starting to sprout and finally temperatures in the 60's. I am so ready for spring!!!

  1. The return of volunteers at the Mission. We will be having volunteers all this month. What an outpouring of service. We are staying really busy just trying to stay ahead of the groups so they will have all the equipment and supplies they need to be able to help us. (It's a good problem!)

  1. Contact with the family. I have heard from all my kids this week, as well as my sisters and my mom . That doesn't happen very often and always makes me happy and feel blessed.

Ahhh... a great week! SO glad to hear Mr. Wonderful is feeling a bit better! I hope he continues to improve! As Mom says... it's heck gettin' OLD! (well... that's not exactly what she says - but it's close!)

Praise God! He IS faithful! And how generous of your Mom to help her kids! (aren't Mom's great???)

I was blessed to be able to send a "family gift" to my little Guatemala girl this week! God arranged it all perfectly, and I can't WAIT to find out how it is used! I LOVE watching Him work! I just LOVE it!

I'm watching the rain fall and I can hear God encouraging everything to grow! The grass seems to be getting greener by the minute! :) JOY!!! Pure JOY!

It really is a blessing to hear from all your children in a week :0)
I'm glad that you have gotten some support that you needed. It's good for all of us to listen to those nudges...
Spring is such a wonderful time of year and I enjoy the anticipation and all the signs of hope that it brings. More and more people I know have had to turn to Gluten free diets. It's great to see how many gluten free products are becoming available. We even have gluten free bakeries, etc. here in the Seattle area...

It's wonderful to see God's provision. It sounds like you have been enjoying some changes (in weather and diet). I hope you are enjoying both!

I'm typing up this comment with my three year old looking over my shoulder. He really likes the falling daisies. ;) We're sitting here watching and enjoying.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I did publish your comment, but it dissappeared into blog land without a trace. This has happened to me more than once lately. I don't know what happens to them! Anyway, your comment was very thoughtful. Your ministry seems neat. I want to read more about it. I'm glad you had some good news about your husband and finances this week. There is always something to praise the Lord about. He never lets the well run dry. Have a good week!

We haven't seen flowers yet, but we're seeing the first signs of buds and new shoots of green here and there. I don't know when I have looked forward to spring more.

I love the stories of provision of both finances and people.

I am glad your husband is doing better. I really need to get back to whole foods. It's so easy to get the quickie stuff and then go on and do something else.

I only have one out of the nest, but it is nice when he and his wife pop in!

Happy Friday!

I always feel guilty when I read about people eating healthier; I really should take that plunge. Glad that it is starting to pay off for your hubby!

I am so happy about seeing Spring return also. Very ready for it!

You are blessed to hear from all your kids, sisters, and mom in the same week!

I am doing gluten free as well. I am on day 10! I too want more energy, and so far it looks promising. :) I hope it works out for him. I did it for a month and then fell off the wagon. I got sick and tired again so I find myself back on the diet. :)

Sounds like a great week to me!

Don't you love hearing from all the kids -- I know I do.

His provision for us is the best, isn't it?

Happy weekend, happy spring!
