Reflections on Holy Week

As this week has progressed Mr. Wonderful and I decided to read Max Lucado's Book "He Chose the Nails" to guide our thoughts and reflections of Christ sacrifice on our behalf.

On Maudy Thursday our thoughts were turned to the Last Supper. Whenever we part take of communion we are reminded of Christ blood shed for our sins and his body broken for us. We are also reminded that the disciples had to look deeply within themselves when Christ told them that one of them would betray him. I find myself asking....."Is it me Lord?"

How often have I betrayed the Lord with my thoughts, actions or even by standing back and doing nothing? I know I spend more time on the computer or watching TV than I do reading the Bible or in praise or worship. I know there are times when prompted by the Holy Spirit to write or call someone I've put it off not knowing what impact a simple word of encouragement might have had on someone who is sick and lonesome, or tired and discouraged.

Forgive Me for my acts of omission as well as my sins of selfishness. Amen
