Sunday Seven...The Car Addition

A weekly meme for giving thanks and/or for noting important events in our lives.

The Car Addition!

Play along?
  1. On Wednesday of last week a car was purchased at auction for us.
  2. It is a 2001 Subaru Forester SUV with 80,000 miles.
  3. The Mission Agency that purchased it for us was able to get the car for half of the list price in the Kelly Blue Book.
  4. The car is green and is currently being "checked out" for any problems by a fleet of mechanics that work for the ministry.
  5. Because they were able to purchase the car for less money, there is money "in reserve" to repair any problems that they might find.
  6. The car is currently in Pennsylvania (about 4 hours from us!) We are hoping to have the title faxed to us this week so we can get tags and plates to take with us when we pick it up.
  7. We are praying that we can pick up "our new to us" car this coming weekend. God is good, All the Time! All the time, God is Good!

That's great, Daisy!! I'm so tickled for you!!
I have a thankful story too...we got the estimate for the repairs on our car, and turned them in. Our local State Farm is totally wacked and the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing, so they sent out a guy to take pictures, and he did his own estimate...on the front end only (it needed rear repairs as well). The check they sent for the front end was several hundred dollars more than the estimate we got! We did tell them that they hadn't sent anything for the rear repairs, and they looked at OUR estimate for that one and sent us the proper amount. But their goof-up on the front end gave us enough to cover our deductible!! Isn't that great? :)

God IS definitely good...I love this type of story. It's the sort of thing the "world" sees and says, "huh??? How does that happen?" And we are able to smile and testify to the awesome power of God.

May He use your gift as a testimony this week.

Blessings, Daisy!!

:-) Susan

Hey there lady, I kinda lost me there for a while too. But, I'm still trying to find some balance -- and I miss my bloggy friends. So, hope to be around alot more.

Congrats on the new grandbaby. Aren't they just the best? Becky ended up having little Alex early -- November 27 (she was due Dec 14). But he is doing great and such a little sweetheart.

God is so awesome. The new vehicle sounds like a jewel. I know you will enjoy it.

I'll be around:) (I'm still blogging at A Prairie View as well...)
