1. This week was Valentine's Day and also My Mr. Wonderful's birthday. They say" you have to kiss a lot of toads before you get your handsome prince"....I met my prince in Sunday School almost 34 years ago.
2. I love intelligent people and Mr. Wonderful could have been the model for "The Absent Minded Professor....right down to his pocket protector!"
3. He was "bumbling and stumbling, awkward and ill at ease in a social setting" so naturally I fell for him instantly.
4. His transition from a toad to a handsome prince began to happen in stages. I saw many hard edges begin to soften and round out as we became parents.
5. One of his first sermons after our first child was born was entitled
6. The birthday card I gave him sums him up well...."Funny. Sweet. Thoughtful. Kind. Handsome face. Cute behind!
7. I love his intergrity, his passion for life , his devotion to God and our family, his ability to fix almost anything, his servant's heart and mostly I still adore his sweet bumbling, stumbling, awkwardness.
