Daisy has left the Patch .....but just briefly!

My Mr. Wonderful and I are leaving the Daisy Patch to go visit "the queen mother" in Virginia Beach this weekend.

Can you smell the apple cake baking? These are the things I can count on.

1.  My mom will make all my "favorite" food. This is her love language and I always oblige because she is a great cook and I don't want to offend her.  She told Mr. Wonderful that she baked him
Glutten Free cookies!  We laughed.
2. My mom will talk incessantly about people I don't know and don't care to know. (Remember she lives alone).  I always listen though cause she needs to talk.
3.  My mom will send food home with us and give me money for gas. This is a real blessing on a missionary budget.  I always tell her it's not necessary but always take her offering of love.
4. My mom will have fresh tea roses on the table from her garden.
5. My mom still hopes I will grow up and make something of my life....... (Oh well, 5 out of 6 ain't bad!)

Michele sent me to see you, Sweet Daisy (I've renamed you)

They say you can never go back but they're dead wrong. Cookies and cake always greet me when I go to my parents house and some goulash usually hits the table at least once during my visit. Yum!

I hope you both have a great time in Virginia Beach, Daisy!

How wonderful to have your mom to go home to and be spoiled! And I love "The Queen of Everything." I have one of those figurines in my house. I love being queen, but no my house has only me, so I guess I'm the "queen of me."
