New York State Of Mind

Ok, yesterday while y' all looked at a picture of my very attractive mother and learned of her many fine qualities , Mr. Wonderful and I left the daisy patch for the big city.

Yes, I realize I just got back from being a "Southern Belle" in Savannah. This trip is in recognition of Baby Girl's achievements in the academic world. She is getting her Master's Degree this weekend and I'm playing the role of proud momma.

I'm so excited to see her world and view the things that are important to them. Baby Girl's hubby has a new job with World Vision and my Mr. Wonderful is chomping at the bit to spend the day in the warehouse with him. I frankly have seen warehouses before, so I am so into sightseeing, shopping and taking in the Big Apple.

Boy Wonder will spend a good part of the day with us too. I adore my children so always look forward to seeing them and catching up with their lives . I have my list of "must see while in New York" and the batteries are charged up in the camera. Got my comfortable shoes so I'm set for the day.

Catch ya later and post our "Catch of the Day".

Daisy Dilema: What would you want to see in New York City?

We are apartment sitting there in late July. Want to see a few shows, the daughter wants to see "Wicked". The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens are on the list as is the 9-11 memorial. I want to see Books of Wonder's new store, the old one was quaint and wonderfully "booky" in smell and feel. The art museums, and... well, just everything. Need to have a backup battery for the camera.

Empire State Building and Statue of Liberty. I am from Asia, so these iconic structures are a must... they are in NY right?

I would want to see everything.....

BUt if I could only pick one thing... it would be the site of the Twin Towers (it was called Ground Zero, but I hope it has a new name now!) - to pay my respects.

Have a grand holiday!!
